Watch this video and then visit this site. I wish I could see the full documentary.
He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The LORD sets prisoners free, (Psalm 146:7)
Pray for those who are being held captive around the world. That the Lord would be at work.
I, the LORD, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness. (Isaiah 42:6-7)
Pray that we would be willing to take action to help free those who sit in darkness.
The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor. (Isaiah 61:1-4)
Pray for restoration of the broken.

Perhaps these verses only relate to the captivity of Israel by the Babylonians and I have taken them out of context. But perhaps God is still calling us to bind up the brokenhearted and release prisoners from darkness.
